Kangen WaterTM is Enagic's trademarked marketing term for "Alkaline Ionized Water". But is "Kangen Water" any different (or better) than "Alkaline Ionized Water" from other high end Water Ionizers on the market? The answer is simply NO! The truth is that the Kangen machine has not kept up with the technological advances in this industry and suffers in several areas. Most of Enagic's customers never explore or research the technology or seek out what other alternatives exist, thus they end up overspending by thousands! And Enagic sales reps do not information customers that there are actually other competitor machines and alternatives on the market. You may now ask, then why is the Kangen machine so expensive ($4,000+)? Well the answer is simple in that the Kangen Water Ionizer is marketed through a multi-level marketing (MLM) approach meaning that there are 8 levels of commissions where whoever sells the machine to you (and around seven other people) is getting paid from your purchase. Now we are not trying to come down on that model because that is how some Kangen consultants make their living, but you need to be informed as a buyer. Thus with Kangen from a dollar standpoint you are getting about a $1,700 machine for over $4,000. Over half the purchase cost pays out all those levels of commissions. For most customers overpaying like this just does not make sense, especially in today's economy where you want to make sure your money is getting you the absolute best?
So paying that much you would expect the Kangen machine to the best in all areas right? You would expect the Kagen machine to have the best filtration system, the largest ionization chamber surface area, the best type of electrolysis plates and with the greatest ability to program and adjust the power to your lifestyle right? Well that is not the case. We mentioned that Enagic (maker of the Kangen machine) has not kept up with some of the key technological advances like mesh plates, dual filtration systems and programmable power settings. The Kangen machine also has a liquid chemical additive (which says "Do Not Drink" on the bottle) that you are suppose to add to boast the pH output. Why add chemicals when you don't need to? There are actually more powerful (and all natural) Water Ionizer options available on the market today for less than half the price of the Kangen machine.
